Hi all,
I'm looking for some good tv stations I can listen to on th enet, that have a lot of different genres of movies. I found a link to itv.com, not sure if the url is correct, because I followed a link from billsparks.org
I found some stations that said, aftv, and they had all genres, a horror movie channel, a mystery movie channel, a sci fi movie channel, christian movie channel, lots of genres, but unfortunately, it wanted me to install an active x component, and I'm scared to do that, and don't know when it's safe or not safe to do that, so when i pressed alt f4 to get out of it, jaws started getting sluggish and responding very slowly to key presses, and internet explorer got hung, and when i got it unhung, there was this thing offering to send the error report to microsoft, but I didn't care to do that, so I couldn't listen to those stations. I figure since they were all part of aftv, they would all be that way. So, I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can find other tv stations like what i described above, but where i can just press enter to listen without any hastl or having to install an active x thing? Thanks very much,
wonderwoman

You should be fine with the active x controls for those TV Stations.
If your unsure you can allways download a virus protection program such as nod32 and scan your computer afterwards.

I do have avg free antivirus, I clicked on the broadband link, that is, the broadband link I think you have to click on to listen to, like where it says, link, 500 k, but the pop up blocker keeps the thing from coming up, and I' kind of leary with that, because sometimes if a website different from the one i'm trying to get comes up, then it messes ie up, and i can't get back to my home page or even exit ie, so then i have torestart to get ie back to normal. this only seems to hapen when a separate link to another site comes up.

Wonderwoman I'm glad I was able to help you! I've turned my pop up blocker off! I know that's not a good thing to do! But the tv stations work now!

thanks all, but so far, tv stations just aren't working out too well for me now. I set the pop up blocker to temporarily allow pop ups, and when the thing said click here to run active x control, I was on an ok button, and pressed the space bar, and I don't think it ran it. when the xp fire wall came up and said it was blocking it for security reasons, I chose unblock. well, it still didn't come up with thestation, and after that, my jaws focus was terrible, and when i pressed alt tab and insert t to find out where i was, it just said, title is. so to close out that site, I had to go to my desktop, tab to the task bar, routhe the jaws cursor, then left click on whatever i needed to close with the left mouse button on the keyboard. Things seem to be ok now, but when i booted up tonight, that modem on hold timer thing came up. I don't think it has anything to do with the cccable modem, because i'm connected norrmally, but i think it's got to do with my old 5i6 k modem. it's still in the system tray, and sometimes it would come up if my computer was acting a bit flukey before shut down. thanks anyway,

it's very frustrating hope, it seems like the only ones you can just enter on and listen to without your computer going flaky are the ones that aren't much good. oh well, at least there is more I can listen to now without having to worry about real player or media player having to stop constantly and buffer so much.

oh well maybe I should just go to google and type in free online tv stations in quotation marks. I don't have to go far, because google is my home page.
